ITA Airways is Italy’s newer national carrier, launched in 2021 as the successor to Alitalia. Based in Rome, it focuses on European routes along with a growing long-haul network, and has been working to rebuild Italy’s presence in global aviation.

It ends up here because it still feels like a work in progress. The newer aircraft and updated branding are a step in the right direction, though the overall experience can be uneven. It has potential, but hasn’t fully established itself as a reliable, top-tier option yet.
