#42: Lance Armstrong’s Team Doping Conspiracy
Lance Armstrong beat cancer and then won the Tour de France seven straight times. Fans called him a hero. A few journalists and former teammates claimed he was doping, but Armstrong attacked them, even suing some. For over a decade, most people believed him.

Teammates finally broke their silence, and in 2012 the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency laid out a massive team doping program built around Armstrong, with drugs, blood transfusions, and cover-ups. He was stripped of all seven titles and banned for life, then confessed on Oprah in 2013.
