It feels like there’s a lot of critical information missing in this exchange. Who are they talking about? What happened there? And most importantly, why are they so nonchalant about it? To us, it sounds like something terrible had happened, but the landlord’s reply suggests it was nothing. What’s going on here?

Everyone should be scared if a dangerous person was living in the building or on the block. Of course, we can’t really understand from this exchange what transpired there. The most important question that remains is why is the landlord acting so casual about this? I guess we’ll never have the answers to these questions.
