Amusing and Confusing Texts Between Landlords and Tenants

We feel like we’re missing some pretty important context here, but since this text was sent by her landlord, we’re pretty sure we know what this is about. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time a landlord has made inappropriate insinuations to his tenant. Is he seriously asking to be informed when her boyfriend leaves her?

Perhaps we’re interpreting this the wrong way, and that’s not what this is about. Perhaps he sent someone up to the house to fix a leak, replace the carpets or fix the electricity, and he just wants to know when the job is done. That seems plausible, right?
