Mother Chick
It is common knowledge that chickens have strong maternal instincts; after they give birth, unlike other animals in the wild, chickens keep their babies close and protect them from the dangers out there. Apparently, it doesn’t even matter whether or not these are her babies – their strong maternal instincts dictate them to watch any bird as if it was their own.
This chicken was given three geese eggs to hatch, she performed her duty loyally, and even after the eggs hatched, she cared for the geese as if they were her own babies. A chicken’s maternal instincts are turned on when she is brooding, and during that period, she’s willing to protect her babies at any cost.
