#24: Redd Foxx
Audiences roared every time Redd Foxx clutched his chest and yelled that he was having “the big one” on Sanford and Son. The hit show made him one of TV’s highest-paid stars. He spent freely on cars, homes, and friends, but he rarely paid his taxes.

In 1989, IRS agents raided his Las Vegas home and took his house, cars, jewelry, and furniture to cover millions in unpaid taxes. Foxx kept working to pay it off and landed a new TV show. Sadly, he suffered a fatal heart attack on its set in 1991.
