Habit: Disgusted by chewing gum
Oprah has a surprising aversion to gum that she can barely stand to think about. She told People magazine, “It makes me sick just to think about it.” Her distaste dates back to her grandmother, who used to save chewed gum in neat rows in a cabinet.
“I’d be scared to touch it because it was so gross, so I have a thing about gum,” Oprah admitted. Her phobia runs so deep that after a dinner guest once placed chewed gum on her plate, Oprah threw the entire plate away, proving even the queen of talk has her unexpected quirks.
