#59: Skipping Skin Prep Before Makeup
Makeup can only look as smooth as the skin underneath allows. When moisturizer, sunscreen, or primer is skipped, foundation may cling to dry patches, settle into lines, or wear unevenly. This can make the face look more textured and tired, even if the makeup itself is good.

Give your skin a few minutes of prep before applying makeup. Cleanse gently, moisturize well, and use sunscreen during the day. If needed, add a hydrating or smoothing primer. Let products absorb before foundation. A comfortable, hydrated base helps makeup look softer, fresher, and more natural.
