#21: Bloated or Swollen Abdomen
A dog with a bloated or swollen belly may look restless, uncomfortable, or unable to settle down. Their stomach can appear tight, enlarged, or painful to the touch. In serious cases, especially with bloat, the condition can quickly become life-threatening and may affect breathing and blood circulation.

Contact a veterinarian immediately if your dog suddenly develops a swollen abdomen. Do not wait to see if it improves on its own. Keep the dog calm and avoid food, water, or exercise. Fast emergency treatment is critical because bloat can worsen very quickly and may become fatal without urgent care.
