#3: Intense Hard Staring
A hard stare happens when a dog locks their eyes onto someone or something without looking away. Their body may become tense and still, and the stare can feel unusually focused or serious. This behavior may happen before growling, lunging, or snapping.

Do not stare back, move closer, or try to challenge the dog. Stay calm and slowly create distance if possible. Avoid sudden movements or loud reactions. If hard staring happens often around people, food, toys, or other animals, consult a qualified trainer or behavior professional.
