Holy Hitchcock! I knew The Birds was a thriller, but I had no idea that the filming process was so traumatic for poor Tippi Hedren. Being attacked by birds is scary enough, but to have to relive that experience repeatedly for the sake of a movie? That’s an intense situation for anyone.

It just shows that sometimes the line between art and reality can be a bit blurry. I have to give Tippi credit for her bravery and commitment to her craft. If it were me in this situation, I’d be asking for a stunt double faster than you can say “cut.” Can you believe she wasn’t even nominated for an Oscar after that?
