It’s surprising to learn that wearing pants was frowned upon in Old Hollywood. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have such strict guidelines on dress codes. It’s impressive that Katherine Hepburn stood up to the studio and refused to conform. It’s not like it was an easy thing to do back then!

It’s a shame that women were limited to certain image types and fake backstories, but I’m glad that actresses like Hepburn could break free from those constraints and pave the way for more diverse representation in Hollywood. Now, women and men can wear almost anything that they want in films – as it should be!
