#37: Some Agents Work Undercover for Long Periods
Not all Secret Service work happens in public view. Some agents spend months or even years undercover while investigating financial crimes or cyber threats. They might pose as businesspeople, hackers, or employees to gather information and expose criminal networks without revealing their true identity.

Undercover work is risky and demanding. Agents have to blend in completely while staying in touch with their teams. One mistake can blow their cover, so they’re trained to stay calm under pressure. It’s one of the most challenging parts of the job, requiring skill, patience, and courage.
