Grace Kelly’s Incredible Life from Old Hollywood Star to Princess

Grace reunited with Alfred Hitchcock for the 1955 mystery To Catch a Thief, playing wealthy American heiress Frances Stevens opposite Cary Grant. Much of the film was shot along the French Riviera, surrounding Grace with luxury hotels, winding coastal roads, and the scenery that became inseparable from the movie.

The role strengthened her image as one of Hollywood’s most elegant leading women, while her chemistry with Grant gave the movie much of its charm.
