Grace Kelly’s Incredible Life from Old Hollywood Star to Princess

More than 20 years after High Society, Grace returned to film in a very different way. She narrated the 1977 documentary The Children of Theatre Street, which followed young ballet students training at the prestigious Vaganova Academy in the Soviet Union.

The project allowed Grace to use her voice and performance experience without making a conventional return to Hollywood acting. The documentary later received an Academy Award nomination, giving her another connection to the film world she had left behind. Yet performing was no longer her only creative outlet, because Grace had developed another passion that became increasingly important in private.
