#8: He Built a Baseball Field at His Home
His love of baseball isn’t just cinematic—it’s personal. After starring in Field of Dreams, he became so attached to the sport that he built a regulation-sized baseball field on his property in Colorado. Not just for show, the field was fully functional, and Costner would invite friends, crew members, and neighbors for casual games.

He even hosted charity matches there. For him, baseball wasn’t just a plotline—it represented community, nostalgia, and the American spirit. Like in the film, he created his version of heaven out of grass, dirt, and a great deal of heart.
