Challenges with Accents in Film
Robert Redford teamed up with Sydney Pollack for their sixth project, Out of Africa, which co-starred Meryl Streep. The film was a blockbuster, bagging seven Oscars, including Best Picture, and becoming a top earner in 1985.

Meryl Streep portrayed Danish baroness Karen Blixen, with Redford as her English lover, Denys Finch Hatton. Initially, Redford aimed for an English accent, but Pollack feared audience disbelief, opting instead for an American portrayal by Redford.
