Julie Ertz, the wife of the Philadelphia Eagles tight end, is a professional soccer player for the Chicago Red Stars, who are part of the National Women’s Soccer League. Dating a football legend has its difficulties, as does dating a soccer star; that’s why a significant part of the couple’s relationship is on the phone. However, despite the distance, the pressure and the busy schedules of both athletes, they manage to make it work and constitute an inspiration for couples around the world.

The two met back in their college days eight years ago, at Stanford University, where Zach played football and Julie visited and catch a Stanford baseball game.
