I’ve never owned cats, so I’m not sure, but this poster acts as if this is common knowledge. If I were asked to house sit for a few days, I’d have left the lights on for them. I realize they can see well in the dark, but would they want to be in the dark? That’s the real question, and I guess we’ll never really have an answer.

I’d leave a light on for a dog, too. Any pet, really. I can see this neighbor went a bit overboard, but you cannot be mad when they thought they were doing the right thing! They could have saved a bit of money on one of those cameras and gotten the smart lights instead. Problem solved.
