There’s Nothing Wrong with You
Yes, this past year we’ve spent a significant amount of time at home, and it gave some people the opportunity to learn a new skill. For example, some people have started cooking or baking for the first time, and other people started working out. That’s great, but it didn’t happen to everyone, and that’s okay too. If you were laid off from work and decided to make the best out of a bad situation – good for you.
However, let’s not forget that this year has been full of stress and uncertainty – we also had to cut down social ties, which added to the stress. So, as this person points out, if you didn’t manage to learn a new skill during that time, or maybe you still had to work and maintain a routine – that’s perfectly normal, and nothing to be ashamed of.
