Statistically Unlikely Events That Happened to Everyday People

I must confess I’ve always had a secret fascination with lightning. Maybe even some sort of unconscious desire to be palpably close to a lightning strike. There’s something about lightning that really seems magical, supernatural, almost. And it’s incredibly beautiful to watch when you have a safe vantage point to view it.

But hearing this account, I have to say I regret all desire to be close to lightning. This must’ve been totally terrifying. I think these people are lucky to even be alive after being struck. Luckily, the only thing destroyed was the electronics. At least they have a pretty good story to tell.
