Central Park is, without a glimmer of doubt, one of the most well-known locations (and attractions) in the U.S. It isn’t the largest urban park in the U.S., but it is the most visited American urban park, as it sees millions of tourists annually (over 40 million visitors every year!), and it is the most filmed location in the history of filmmaking. Yikes!

The horse carriage rides are a popular Central Park attraction, and always have been, as well as the pond at Hallett Nature Sanctuary and the Central Park Zoo. Central Park was designed and constructed between 1857-1876. Several structures were renovated over the years, and repairs and restoration works were performed, but the immensely popular park remains what it’s always been.
