#5: She Releases “Puppy Love” Through Goldband Records in the Late 1950s
Between 1957 and 1959, she recorded her first single, “Puppy Love,” which was released through Goldband Records. The song gave her an early taste of the recording industry while she was still a teenager trying to break out of East Tennessee.
