#7: Forgetting Sunscreen
It’s easy to underestimate how intense the sun feels at sea, especially with ocean breezes keeping temperatures comfortable. Many travelers do not realize they are getting too much sun until they notice a painful burn later that evening. Tropical ports, reflective water, and long outdoor excursions can make sun exposure even stronger.

Packing sunscreen and applying it regularly is one of the simplest ways to avoid turning vacation into discomfort. Travelers should reapply after swimming, sweating, or spending long hours outdoors. A higher SPF, along with a hat and sunglasses, can help protect skin and make sunny cruise days much more enjoyable.
