A well-kept home can still lose appeal when nearby properties look run-down. Peeling paint, overgrown lawns, junk cars, broken fences, or cluttered yards can make buyers worry about the whole street, not just the house they are touring.

This is hard to control, but presentation still matters. Keep your own property spotless, add privacy fencing or landscaping where possible, and highlight nearby positives like parks, shops, or quiet streets. Buyers should visit the area at different times before deciding.
