#41: Large Trees Too Close to the House
Large trees can be beautiful, but placement matters. When they grow too close to the roof, foundation, driveway, or sewer line, buyers may worry about falling limbs, root damage, clogged gutters, cracked pavement, or expensive future removal.

Have an arborist inspect risky trees before problems grow. Trim branches away from the roof, remove dead limbs, and watch for roots near plumbing or hardscape. When planting new trees, choose the right species and leave enough room for mature growth.
