Times Americans Proved They Were Clueless

In defense of our next American, not every place in the world has electricity, and a great deal more places do have electricity but not consistently or reliably. So it’s not a completely ridiculous question to wonder whether another country has electricity.

But it is pretty ridiculous when that country is Germany. As this person was clearly unaware, it’s a very highly developed country and a major exporter of vehicles and manufactured goods. I wonder if this person was aware of German cars; if so, did they imagine the Germans were crafting them by hand using only chisels and hammers?
