A lot of us trust Google Maps blindly and for the most part, it’s great for navigation especially when you’re in unfamiliar territory. However, that’s not to say that Google doesn’t have its faults. Sometimes it sends you down the wrong path and at other times, it suggests rather strange detours like this one.

The OP was on their way to their destination driving straight as suggested by Maps when they noticed an alternative option that was 6 minutes slower. They didn’t think much of it until they looked closer. The other route was basically going to make them take an exit, turn around, and then get back on the same road. How does that even make sense, Google?
