This vintage toy from the 1950s looks pretty cool. It’s an atomic energy lab kit jam-packed with different experiments and tools. This toy was obviously playing into the popularity of nuclear power and research during that decade. If you look closely, this kit advertises itself as the “most modern scientific set ever created!”

If you look even closer, you can see that this kit contains samples of radioactive material like Uranium-238. Oh. The 1950s were a wild time. Honestly, there’s probably some lead in there, too. There’s no way this toy would pass inspection these days. It’s still cool to look at, though!
