July 20, 1969, marked the historical moment when astronaut Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. This event marked the first time a human had set foot on the Moon and walked its surface. This culmination of the Space Race caused quite a frenzy. Naturally, companies tried to capitalize on all the excitement. 

This 1969 Air Canada certificate guarantees a flight to the Moon. That’s a pretty big promise. Several other airline companies, including Pan Am, offered flight reservations to the Moon whenever it became available. So far, Air Canada has yet to deliver on its promise.
