Woman Takes In a Stray Cat, Then the Vet Asks, “Do You Know What This Is?”

Before the handlers left the clinic, they allowed Leah to take one photograph from a safe distance.

In the picture, the serval sat inside its transport crate with its large ears raised. Its spotted coat looked beautiful and almost familiar.

Leah kept the photograph on her phone.

Whenever someone called it a large cat, she corrected them.

It had looked like a pet in the shadows. In full light, it was clearly something very different.
