Some of the worst things for your heart do not look dangerous at all. They are hiding in your medicine cabinet, your sleep schedule, your favorite “healthy” foods, and even the air around you.
A few are obvious. Others are so unexpected that most people never connect them to heart trouble.
Here are the habits, foods, and everyday risks your heart may be begging you to stop.
#1: Don’t Ignore Loud Snoring
Loud snoring may seem like an irritating but harmless habit. However, snoring paired with gasping, choking, breathing pauses, morning headaches, or constant tiredness could point to sleep apnea.

Repeated drops in oxygen force the cardiovascular system to work harder overnight. Untreated sleep apnea may contribute to high blood pressure, irregular heart rhythms, heart disease, and stroke. The next danger is even easier to miss because it often produces no symptoms at all.
