Just Speak
A graffiti artist once wrote “Speak English” on the wall of a place. This probably was intended to facilitate communication between people in that region. However, most people who migrate from regions where English is not the lingua franca usually have a hard time learning English. Therefore, this sign will most likely make them feel unwelcome.

Other people sensed this and proved humanity is about tolerance by adding other languages to the graffiti to make the message more welcoming. This show of love can also inspire non-English speakers to adapt to the country they’ve come to. They also added “we” in front of “speak” to promote inclusion in society.
