If you’re in a hurry, typing furiously on your phone’s screen isn’t going to result in very legible text. That’s why we rely on autocorrect to iron out any mistakes we make, which can be quite a lot. However, the technology is far from perfect, as you’ll see in this exchange.
It turns out that the dad was not actually in prison as the texter had previously indicated. Autocorrect had changed “interested” into “in prison” since, you know, that makes so much more sense. Thank goodness the person could correct the mistake before the recipient died of a heart attack.
